Healthy Homes for our Children
IBE launches a new outreach campaign.
The International Institute for Bau-Biologie® & Ecology (IBE) has made a commitment to bring together issues from both the biological (healthy homes) and ecological (green homes) realms in order to provide healthier environments for those who are on the Autism spectrum.
Since 2007, IBE has worked diligently with several other non-profit organizations, THRiiiVE.com, L.I.A. (Lyme Induced Autism) Foundation, and Autism One, whose primary missions are to provide information for those dealing with Autism and Asperger. It is well known that environmental issues have played a critical role in both the onset of these disorders and that they also can impede the treatment for such. At the invitation of interested parents and doctors, IBE has developed a number of seminars, videos and provided information about reducing the “Total Body Burden.” The focus of this outreach has been to empower the impacted families with the knowledge and encouragement to begin taking the steps to recognize and reduce the environmental toxins within their homes on their way to cleaner, healthier living. We have the ultimate goal of seeing these individuals thrive.
Now, IBE announces the move to take the information gained from this experience back to the Green community. IBE’s holistic approach to both biological and ecological influences from the built environment is ideal for this endeavor. The project “Healthy Homes for our Children”, due to be launched at the pre-conference seminar for the West Coast Green Conference in San Francisco, on 30 Sep 2009, will involve seminars, videos and information to provide those in the Green community with the tools to better serve this growing element of our population, children with autism. From water to air to chemicals to electromagnetics, each of these can have toxins that influence our health. Per the usual IBE standard, the information provided will be scientifically based and derived from research and experience of doctors who treat patients with autism and the environmentalists who measure exposure.
Our focus is to empower and enlighten the builders, architects, interior designers, craftsmen, vendors, and all concerned citizens to make a difference in the built and living environment for these families. They need our help. Donate funds or Sign up for a course, so you can help us to construct healthier homes. Together we can make a difference by creating healthier indoor environments for our children.
